Audiobook contests seem to be a new trend – so much so that I’ve added a “Contests” tag to my posts! Playaway has a great contest running through July 10th – the Playaway $100,000 Givaway Stimulating America’s Libraries. Any public library employee over the age of 18 can enter. On June 1st, Playaway will begin giving away 15 audiobooks a day! Here’s your chance to add to your collection a great cross section of titles – fiction & non-fiction, youth to adult – in the Playaway format. As a school librarian, I’m hoping to see a similar contest aimed at struggling school libraries in the future (hint, hint). If there are any other great contests out there, please let me know so that I may pass along the news!
